OFFER LETTER
I am happy to send you this “offer letter” that outlines the terms we are prepared to offer you to
publish your book with a tentative title, —. I consider these terms
to be both fair and competitive. Since our contracts are long and somewhat formal, below are the basic highlights,
which outline the terms of the contract. Please feel free to discuss with the business office any questions you
may have about the terms we are offering you.
Your Royalty Rates
Trade royalties (sales to bookstores, church bookstores, online bookstores such as Amazon.com, distributors,
etc.) would be paid as follows: flat royalty rate of thirty percent (30%). These royalties are based on our
net receipts. Net receipts mean our actual return after wholesale discount to distributors and retailers, cost
of printing and shipping, or any other fees directly associated with producing and distributing the book.
Furthermore, we would not pay royalties on any author sales to you (see Author Buyback Discounts section).
Sale of Electronic & Audio Books
You will receive thirty percent (30%) royalty on the net amount received by the Publisher from the sale of
electronic & audio books, whether sold by the publisher directly, or through a third party to which the
Publisher grants a sub-license to sell electronic or audio books.
Your Author Advance
You will receive no advance against royalties. Axitos Publishing House does not pay advance on royalty,
which allows us to pay you what you really deserve as the book begins to sell.
Author Buyback Discounts
You are authorized to purchase copies of your book at a huge 50% discount off the retail price. All author
qualifying discounted purchases must be processed directly with Publisher through axitos.ai, by email
(acquisitions@axitos.ai), or phone (1-331-312-1231).
Author Commitment
You agree to purchase —
copies of your book, in conjunction with
Publisher's initial press run. Although average author purchases range from 800 – 1500 copies, you are
encouraged to commit to a number that is in line with your initial editorial conversations. As an author, we
encourage you to take advantage of the Author Buyback Discount to promote your book within your circle of
influence.
Privacy Agreement
Although Axitos Publishing House pays flat royalty rates, to maintain the privacy of our operations, Author
agrees to keep confidential and not disclose to any other person the terms of this “offer letter”
and anticipated long-form agreement. The parties, however, may communicate as required with their respective
attorneys, tax or financial advisors for tax or legal purposes, so long as each such attorney or advisor is
advised of the foregoing privacy obligations of this Agreement and agrees to comply with those obligations.
Payment Processing
You agree to maintain a current PayPal account for payment of royalties if/when due. Setting up a PayPal
account is free (https://www.paypal.com/). Authors in the US have the option to choose direct deposit into
their US bank account (through Zelle) and must bear the responsibility to make sure that Zelle account
information and address provided (in the full contract) are correct and current.
Manuscript Processing
Although you have delivered your complete manuscript to Axitos Publishing House, you agree to continue to
work with Axitos editors to make any corrections or additions deemed necessary.
This “offer letter” shall constitute a non-binding letter of intent between the Author identified
below and AXITOS LLC.
